From East to West
Hi we have recently brought a new Dvd which is available on ebay or direct from us by emailing michael.lewis7@btinternet.com priced £11.95 with free P&P. hope it maybe of interest to some of the members of the forum, thanks for your interest in the dvd any further questions about the dvd please feel free to email us.
This double DVD set filmed mostly between 1994 and 2002 shows good quality archive Footage at the following locations the soundtrack is original with no commentary to spoil it
Disc – 1
Melton Ross – Barnetby – Stainforth – South Milford – Knottingley - Doncaster
At Melton Ross and Barnetby we see classes 37/56/60/66 on an assortment of coal, iron ore, oil, steel and enterprise workings filmed both before and after the new footbridge was built.
Stainforth classes 56/60/66 on coal, enterprise, steel and binliner workings.
South Milford and Knottingley numerous coal trains 56/58/59/60 in an assortment of liveries class 59/2 in Nat Power and EWS livery.
Doncaster Works Open day 9 July 1994
An afternoon at Doncaster Stn filmed in 1999 shows the large amount of both freight and passenger trains at this busy location
classes 37/43/47/56/58/60/90/91
Running time 66 mins.

Manchester Piccadilly – Stockport – Chester – Warrington
At Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport as well as the usual
class 43/47/86/87/90 on passenger duties we also have class 101 DMU in various liveries regional railways and Strathclyde orange and blue. Engineering trains at Piccadilly hauled by 37411 ‘ Scottish Railway Preservation Society ‘ 56054 ‘ British Steel Llanwern ‘ and a pair of 60s
At Stockport we see 56025 on the Stalybridge to Immingham blue tanks .
What used to be a normal day at Chester numerous class 37s on Birmingham and Crewe to Holyhead trains, 37688 on a Chirk – Warrington empty logs. and a pair of 47s on a Euston service.
And finally we see how Warrington used to be in 1998 – 99 with a look at some of the different freight, mail and passenger services running in this period.
Running time 67 mins
Loco classes featured : 08.31.37.43.47.58.59.60.66,86.87.89.90.91.
There are far too many too many different locos and trains to make a comprehensive list of all the activity on these DVDS.

sounds good but wouldnt a 2min plug on youtube or something similar be useful
