Many thanks for your time and info Martin Wink

Is the website just shunter related then, or does it cover other locos ?

I can't say i'm overly fussed with 08/09's at the moment. I'm more interested in the Class 60's, which thankfully, we see a few down here. As i've only just got into spotting again, i've promised myself to have a good stint at the crossing at Margam, with the hope of photographing some of the beasts cheers

Thanks again

Please come and join me and Fforestfach Veg one saturday when the tanks are running (like this saturday) or either a Monday night at Knuckle Yard or Wednesday at Pwll if the tanks are behind the loco. I normally do Tidal as well on a saturday when Billy Basher is on.

Not sure if Billy Basher is tucked up in bed after his strenuous first day back in work, but here goes. lol!

Carried out the 0600hrs inspection and 08706 and 08921 Pongo were found to be in good working order. However, Billy couldn't manage to wield his sledgehammer at 08605 to beat it back to life after having failed the day before, so tender loving care was the order of the day and all three gronks were all singing and all working an hour later.

No sign of a fourth gronk turning up though?! Shocked

Pongo could not get a 99 today so is now in manual mode for a day or to with 605 doing pongo's work after its banging and farting problem on Tuesday.
Got a few days to get the gronks up to scratch now. 10 pikeys spotted in the wagons.Even a shed had an exam as it tried to leave Tidal with the Spruce goose at the controls Very Happy

Spruce Goose? Question

Maybe you should point your white van towards Westbury, taking me with you for the pictures and get 757 running. Very Happy

I left Billy frothing on the phone this morning because, whilst he was assured that when Pongo was last sent back to Toton with remote problems it was going to be standardised and fitted with the latest equipment, it hasn't and he can't swop parts between the remotes to locate the fault. lol!

Billy,

What was the third gronk to go down with cylinder head problems of late other than 08605 and 08757. What was the special tool Tidal requested to get 08605 running?

Ta.

Seems like Billy / Willy is too tired to post after a hard days work?! Laughing

08921 is still in manual as the remote box has been sent away for repair.

08605/711/757 have all suffered with head gasket problems and 'allegedly' a Torque Multiplier either wasn't used or was used incorrectly on these locos. Tidal has sorted 08605 after requesting the appropriate equipment.

All is not well in Tidal this morning, only 08605 working. 706 is under repair and 921 may be going back to Toton Depot.
