the jarvis rail/fastline group are in receivership as of today

is this the end of fastline operated freight

On 29th March 2010, N B Kahn, N G Edwards, P S Bowers and I Brown were appointed Interim Receivers and Managers and now manage the affairs, business and property of Jarvis Rail Limited and Fastline Limited. The Joint Administrators and the Interim Receivers and Managers act only as agents of the Companies and contract without personal liability. The Joint Administrators and the Interim Receivers and Managers are authorised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

We can only hope the receivers can find parts of the business that can be resurrected as a going concern, whether that be coal freight or whatever...

We were only commenting on the lack of coal runs through Water Orton during the last few weeks...

Strange to invest money in repainting 66434 if things were so bad...

Jarvis has a poor financial track record. Crow and Norris are quick to point the figure at Network Rail, who have a handful of other contractors that appear to be profitable.

What proportion of Jarvis's work is related to Network Rail and if its more than 33% then that's a great recipe for financial disaster and I too would pull the plug or my investment.

I hope Jarvis's staff find alternative employment as quickly as possible. Lions led by donkeys?

Two trains of 20 x HHA planned for this Saturday working from Chaddesden to Gloucester Yd for storage.

details are sketchy but a 4Zxx 1100 Chad-Gloucs is likely No other details at this stage.

on the loco front sheds 434, 302, 303 and 305 are now at Crewe GB, 301 is still at doncaster fastline depot and 304 is languishing at kingmoor

...

I believe 4Z22. Any further details of one or both workings would be greatly appreciated
