1) I was very pleased to see Scott Spencer / Runcorn Sprogs groups amalgamate with Headsup and extremely disappointed to see Scott make an early exit. Scotts resigning message requested that any correspondence be directed to Headsup, this I did and did not receive a response.

2) I'm fed up with all the shed messages and very disappointed that Headsup kicked off a 70 year old man that provided more inspiration to enthusiasts over the past 55 years than most enthusiasts rolled together on Headsup. He's probably the finest video man in south wales and a top photoshop man who goes out of his way to provide tuition, lots of free videos to enthusiasts, lots of youtube videos and has a picture of D6983 in service, which I never achieved. Bob Masterman was banned for very naively questioning Scott Spencer's warning about a double shed B13 posting as he only views Headsup on an irregular basis and wasn't aware of the barrage of shed postings / warnings a couple of weeks ago. A couple of members on this forum have read the riot act to Bob over his posting and I sincerely hope that Headsup review this ban especially if all the people that have posted shed messages in the past week havn't also been banned.

3) AVG kicked in on the picture hosting website that Headsup use when I did a bit of digging.

4) Keep up the hard work Wetbag.

Subject: what do we think of the group so far?

I sent a message to the group a copy i list below. I was told that the HU sightings was not the correct place to have a discussion and i appreciate that so i have re-posted here. Just like to hear your thoughts on the subject. I especially don't like getting attachments to open in the reports digest, Tony who i believe is a moderator mailed me and tells me he has changed my settings so that problem should be solved, i wait and see.

Its been a couple of weeks since the 2 new groups( HU and SU) formed and was
wondering how you are finding them? Personally I am disappointed with them,
I am getting approximately 100 emails a day so decided to go down the daily
digest road but then I don't seem to get all the emails. Now I notice the
daily digest system as changed format (HU) and I am getting attachments to
open, this I most definitely don't like, I have had 2 emails which contained
viruses fortunately my virus scanner (AVG) managed to find and destroy. I
would much prefer a Yahoo type group than the present one. Am I alone in
thinking this or should I just shut up and grin and bear it?

What do you think of the group so far? (Re:Headsup Gen) Empty questions

Post  wetbag Sun 2 May 2010 - 11:41

ok chaps let me sweep up

I too thought the amalgamation was a good idea and it was a shame that scott has left so quickly he sighted personal reasons and these I respect - however HU has been successful for the last 2 years so I can see no reason why it should not continue

Some members have been reinstated for posting sheds either because they sent an immediate and grovelling response What do you think of the group so far? (Re:Headsup Gen) Icon_razz or they re-joined again (new fee).

We did gave a little bit of scope over the last few weeks due to the new members but if we dont enforce the rules then heads up will become sheds up and we simply dont want that. Any breach of rules will be enforced but of course we are human and if people approach the admin team reinstatement will be considered on their merits

we will try and deal with all admin requests but members of HU nd SU can alter their status on the Panel to receive messages how they like them - have a go What do you think of the group so far? (Re:Headsup Gen) Icon_smile if you really struggle we will help

we have also upgraded HU and SU and this Forum to a new server which adds greater security, greater speed and greater information retention - there will of course be the odd niggle but we hope these will be resolved soon

hope thats everything but please follow this thread to add comments

wetbag

we now have HU, SU and this Forum for about 20p a week on a very fast and secure server with no annoying yahoo adverts - the team honestly beleive that this is really good value What do you think of the group so far? (Re:Headsup Gen) Icon_bounce
