Photographic Locations Between Garston & Acton Bridge
I'm planning some nice pictures of Cans and EWS Skodas on X41/L48, L92 & F45/K64. Can anyone help me with some nice photographic locations between Garston and Acton Bridge and also between Acton Bridge and Crewe. Thanks.
Also, wanting pictures of K73 with sun as best as possible on the nose between say Wigan and south of Warrington where line travels south west. Ta.

Not many good locations on this section.
Runcorn station not too bad if sun in right position for trains of interest.
Most other locations between Garston & Acton Bridge spoilt by vegetation and / or fences / overhead wiring and supports.
Not good for close-up photos of locos. but with a long focus lens you can get photos of trains leaving Widnes end of Runcorn rail bridge, by walking along riverside path at Widnes.
Not been myself, but have been told there are one or two locations near Weaver Junction / Viaduct.

Thanks Bevan. I've done a lot of research on Google Maps and didn't find anything. Looks like the second footbridge south of Acton Bridge station is my best bet. I thought Ditton station was still in existence. Long time since I photted the shunter at Ditton Sleeper Depot.
