How to use TOPS
For all enquires work off the F8 screen. Enquiries with locos - 37669 has been used as the example!
Loco enquiry - E3 1 37669
Pool enquiry - LP 2A WKBN - this will bring up the DBS 37 loco fleet.
This enquiry can be done with 2 letters, so if you wanted to bring up DRS's whole fleet do LP 2A XH, of all freightliners - LP 2A DF etc
Also you can do it in ranges - so LP 2A WAAA WZZZ will bring up the whole DBS fleet.
Loco History - To find out where a loco has been working - do FIND LOCO 37669. This will bring up about a weeks past workings.
And for the darksiders......
Yard List - X3 42159 W ; 2 00 B ; 42159
This will bring up a BAsford Hall yard list - the 1st 42159 is the TRA - so all freighliner locations are 42159, DRS 10200 etc. DBS are sectioned up across the country.
The second 42159 is the stannox location, so to do Leeds Midland Road, all you'd need to do is change the second 42159 for 17173 (I think thats the right stannox!)
Simple wagon enquiry is - J6 1 607001 - this will bring up the details for that specific wagon. Cetain wagons need a prefix such as VTG88080 etc.

using TOPS
Thats fine wetbag, I got the impression Bigman did not no how to use TOPS and Matt Brown was giving instruction as the original posting does not mean a lot to the rest of us as we can not search TOPS, dont you agree?

USING TOPS
I don't see anything useful in knowing that if i have TOPS and press F8 that i get access to all enquiries or by pressing other certain keys brings up further enquiry options. Also in Matts reply what use is it me knowing that if i type in trjc i get list of headcodes. What possible use is that information to us if we don't have TOPS, please tell me. The messages are probably very useful to others with access but certainly not me and i guess many others. What I would have liked was a method of accessing TOPS but as wetbag says in his reply it's not possible.

Thank you wetbag for clarifying the situation, I certainly was not trying to cause trouble and appreciate your explanation.
